Learn to Paint with Peg Duffin, Hampton
Have you always wanted to learn to paint? Peg Duffin has an opening in her Tuesday evening art class, which meets 6:30-8:30 p.m. She also has room for three students in the Wednesday class, which meets 10 a.m. – 12 noon. The fee is $20.00 per class. Call Peg at 929-4108 for a list of supplies, or come on a trial basis and see if you like it. Peg will provide the supplies for the trial class.
Peg will discuss composition, values, how to use a brush, and what paper works best. You will complete a wet on wet painting (watercolors), so you can go home feeling as if you’ve accomplished a work of art. As Peg says, “Anyone can draw a line, but art is about practice and desire.”

FREE ONLINE CLASSES IN WRITING, POETRY, ART, AND PHOTOGRAPHY
Ongoing education at any stage of life can be both enriching and rewarding. One of the goals of The Hampton Arts Network is to bring various educational opportunities to our member artists. And while planning for that goal is still in the formative stages, we’d like to make you aware of a great no-cost opportunity through the Lane Library.
It’s called Free Continuing Education and is offered when using your library card from your home computer. Many self-paced classes are offered in the subjects we focus on here at HAN: art, photography, writing, and poetry. Continuing Education Units are earned by successful completion of a class.
The library’s website is hampton.lib.nh.us. Click on “Research Databases” and scroll down to “Free Continuing Education.” Happy learning!
